BAPE Takes Over New Jersey with New Flagship Store
BAPE is kicking off the new year with a bang, already dropping two new collections and now opening a brand new flagship store. The popular streetwear brand, known for its iconic camo print, now has over 40 retail locations worldwide, with the latest addition being in New Jersey.
The new store, located in the American Dream Mall, is in good company with over 400 other stores and attractions, including an indoor theme park, water park, and ski slope. The design of the store draws inspiration from traditional Japanese temples, giving it a unique and eye-catching look.
But don’t worry, BAPE fans, the store still stays true to its roots with plenty of camo print throughout. The store also features walnut wood finishes, shelves, and hangers, as well as lush Japanese greenery. And for those familiar with the brand, you’ll recognize the mantras “Made By The Ape” and “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape” etched onto the wood columns.
According to BAPE’s CEO Mahmoud el Salahy, “Our Japanese craftsmanship has always been our differentiation, and this store translates our DNA into a bespoke retail experience. This new design pushes boundaries and invites our community into an elevated expression of the brand that draws inspiration from the heritage and the future of BAPE.”
In addition to the regular BAPE merchandise, the flagship store also carries an exclusive BAPE NEW JERSEY capsule collection, featuring tees, sweatshirts, and headwear inspired by the Garden State.
