Drake’s 2025 Comeback: NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Pink Foam” and OVO x Air Jordan 9 Samples Revealed
After a tumultuous 2024, Drake is in need of some major wins in 2025. But not just any wins, he needs to steer clear of the Anita Max drama and focus on his music and fashion collaborations. Luckily, the year is off to a great start for The Boy with the recent reveal of the NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Pink Foam” and now, a sneak peek at two OVO x Air Jordan 9 samples.
The partnership between OVO and Jordan Brand lasted from 2015 to 2019, resulting in several successful retail releases such as the Air Jordan 12, Air Jordan 10, and Air Jordan 8, all featuring OVO’s signature black, white, and gold color scheme. But the collaboration also produced a variety of samples, PEs, and unreleased styles, most of which stayed true to the OVO aesthetic.
The two Air Jordan 9 samples in question were never released to the public, as they were only created as prototypes to visualize and evaluate the design before mass production. However, they are very similar to the other OVO releases of that time, featuring the same materials and color scheme.
The first pair comes in a glossy white leather with gold accents on the tongue badge, insole, and translucent outsole. The second pair takes on a more understated look with a matte black leather, opaque outsole, and a mix of gold and black branding. The standout detail on both pairs is the tongue tag, which replaces the traditional Air Jordan branding with “October’s Very Own.”
Unfortunately, these OVO x Air Jordan 9 samples will not be hitting shelves anytime soon. But for all the latest and greatest releases, be sure to check out our Weekly Footwear Drops roundup.
