Issey Miyake Unveils New “Wood” Frames for 2025 Release
Issey Miyake, the renowned fashion brand, is starting off the year 2025 with a bang by introducing their latest range of eyewear – the “Wood” frames. These frames are a product of Issey Miyake Eyes, a collaboration between Issey Miyake and Kaneko Optical, and are inspired by the texture of carved wood. Each frame is meticulously hand-carved, giving it a unique and one-of-a-kind texture that cannot be replicated by any industrial process. The frames also feature durable and lightweight titanium hinges.
The “Wood” frames will be available in four different styles – Round, Hexagon, Square, and Boston – all in a sleek black color. However, there are various lens options available for each style. The Square and Boston frames offer a choice between light and dark grey lenses, while the Round frame comes with light grey and dark brown options. The Hexagon frame, on the other hand, offers a more funky look with light blue and dark green lenses.
No matter which frame or lens option you choose, the price remains the same – ¥55,000 JPY (approximately $348 USD). The collection will be available for purchase on Issey Miyake’s website and in their retail stores starting January 6. For those in Shinjuku, there will also be a special exhibition called “Wood” at the Shikaku gallery attached to the Shinjuku store from January 6 to January 31.
Don’t miss out on the chance to get your hands on these stylish and unique “Wood” frames from Issey Miyake Eyes.
