Weber Teams Up with I Like Movies for Nostalgic Capsule Collection

Get ready to relive the golden era of rental DVDs with Weber’s latest collaboration with acclaimed Canadian director Chandler Levack’s debut feature film, I Like Movies.

The capsule collection, inspired by the 2022 coming-of-age comedy-drama set in 2003, channels the aesthetic of simpler times. With its premiere at Shinjuku Cinema Qualite and other theaters across Japan on December 27, the same day as the collection drop, the film is already being hailed as “one of the best Canadian comedies of all time.”

In celebration of the film, Weber, known for its love for cinema, has created a unique apparel line featuring their signature Coach Jackets, T-shirts, and debut Cap designs. Each piece is adorned with bold visuals of the film’s protagonist, Lawrence, and the movie’s title, “I Like Movies,” in eye-catching prints and embroidery. The collection also pays homage to the iconic 2000s style with box-cut coach jackets and tees.

The campaign imagery will transport fans back to the Blockbuster era, with its nostalgic references to rental DVDs and chunky TVs. And the best part? The collection will be available for pre-order on Weber’s online store starting December 27, coinciding with the movie’s nationwide release in Japan.
