Closing Out a Memorable Year: OJAS x Maharishi Collaboration
As we near the end of a year filled with exciting new store openings and creative collaborations, Devon Turnbull’s OJAS is teaming up with Maharishi for a collection of military-inspired pieces. The capsule includes Maharishi’s signature Original Snopants®, an organic cotton hooded sweatshirt, and a cotton hemp record tote bag, all in a striking olive green color.
Inspired by Turnbull’s love for functional and utilitarian design, the collection is a fusion of his minimalist aesthetic and Maharishi’s military influence. In a video interview, Turnbull explains that his creative process is not based on mood boards, but rather on the building blocks that have shaped his design identity. These include modernism, brutalism, and Eastern philosophy.
The collaboration between OJAS and Maharishi is a natural fit, with Turnbull having a long-standing relationship with the brand. He recalls hanging out at the Maharishi store in London during OJAS’ early days and connecting with the team. Now, the two brands have come full circle with this exciting capsule collection.
