Civilist Drops New Vans Collab to Celebrate 15th Anniversary
Berlin-based streetwear brand Civilist is back with a bang, following up their cozy Winter 2024 collection with an all-new collaboration with Vans. The joint silhouette features Civilist’s iconic smiley face motif within Vans’ classic checkerboard pattern, available in two colorways: monochrome black and snow white, as well as a vibrant blend of red, yellow, and blue.
Shot by Andrew White, the campaign for the collab is a dizzying display of product, design, space, and reality all fused into one. The brand explains that the visuals were brought to life inside a 3m x 3m cubed room, offering a real-life representation of Vans’ signature checkerboard heritage.
Civilist took to Instagram to express their gratitude to their community for their support over the past 15 years: “Today marks our 15th anniversary and we are more than thrilled about all the support and love from you guys throughout all these years! Running an independent shop can be tough at times and can only succeed with the help of a strong community, friends, and family.”
In addition to the Vans collab, Civilist has also released a book to commemorate their 15-year milestone, available for purchase on their website. The Vans x Civilist Authentic will be available to shop at Civilist stores and online starting December 15. Check out the design in the gallery above.
