Issey Miyake Takes a Bold Step: Introducing IM MEN for Fall/Winter 2025 Collection
Get ready fashion lovers, because Issey Miyake is shaking things up for the next Paris Men’s Fashion Week. The brand has just announced that they will be presenting their collection from IM MEN starting in the Fall/Winter 2025 season.
In a statement from Midori Kitamura, chairman of MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO (MDS) and Hiroki Kaito, President & CEO of ISSEY MIYAKE INC., the brand introduces audiences to the three members of MDS who are behind the new line. Sen Kawahara (design/engineering), Yuki Itakura (design/engineering), and Nobutaka Kobayashi (textile design/engineering) have joined forces to redefine clothing with their unique approach to design and engineering.
IM MEN was launched in 2021 under Miyake’s direction, with a focus on integrating design and engineering in their clothing. And now, with the addition of these three talented individuals, the brand is ready to take their creations to the next level.
But that’s not all – starting in January 2025, the brand will be putting a pause on their HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE line, which has seen major growth around the world since its debut in 2019. But don’t worry, this is all part of the brand’s plan for evolution and growth. As Issey Miyake shares, “We have made new plans for the brand, as it moves forward and continues to evolve. We will share more information with you in the spring of next year.”
