The Japanese brand, known for its notable collaborations and celebratory releases, has unveiled a revamped selection of products that combine AURORA TEX® and AURORA TEX® LIGHT, two signature waterproof and breathable textiles. Nanga: From Bedding Manufacturer to Outdoor Lifestyle Brand
Nanga first gained recognition in 1941 as a bedding manufacturer called “Yokota Sewing.” Today, 30 years later, the brand has evolved into a trusted provider of fashion goods and outdoor-oriented lifestyle essentials for modern adventurers. The latest collection features an all-new down jacket that showcases the versatility of the brand, with AURORA TEX® used for durability in the shell and AURORA TEX® LIGHT for areas that require mobility. The accompanying down pants also feature a combination of these two textiles, strategically placed to alleviate stress and friction in high-wear areas. The collection also includes commemorative anniversary decals on the jacket and pants, featuring the number “30” and a snow-covered mountain. These custom patches can be removed via a velcro system, revealing embroidered “NANGA” lettering and a motif of the Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain on Earth.
A Collection in Two Distinct Colorways
The 30th-anniversary collection is available in two colorways: “N.RED (NANGA RED) x BLK,” the brand’s signature red-and-black colorblocking, and “BLK x BLK,” a sleek and stealthy monochromatic pairing of both textiles. The collection also includes Nanga’s first-ever sleeping bag and a unique winter sandal, created in collaboration with Japanese footwear brand SUBU. The sleeping bag features AURORA TEX® on the back panel for durability and AURORA TEX® LIGHT on the front panel for lightweight comfort. The winter sandal also utilizes this combination of textiles to provide flexibility and withstand natural elements.
