Tomorrow London Sells A-COLD-WALL* to Four Marketing Agency

Tomorrow London, the fashion powerhouse, has made a major move by selling A-COLD-WALL* to Four Marketing, a distribution group backed by Frasers. This sale comes just nine months after Tomorrow London acquired 100% of the technical fashion brand founded by Samuel Ross.

Ross Exits A-COLD-WALL* and Launches New Venture

Samuel Ross, the founder of A-COLD-WALL*, left the company at the time of Tomorrow’s acquisition. He then launched a new venture, Samuel Ross_Atelier, and released his first collection under this new banner in September.

Tomorrow’s Collective Approach to Brand Vision

When Ross left A-COLD-WALL*, Tomorrow’s CEO Stefano Martinetto chose not to appoint a new creative director. Instead, the label will operate with a “collective approach” to shaping the brand’s sartorial vision.

Tomorrow’s Previous Investment in A-COLD-WALL*

In 2018, Tomorrow acquired a “substantial minority stake” in A-COLD-WALL*, becoming its “global exclusive licensee” and co-owner of the trademark. The terms of this initial deal were not disclosed.

Four Marketing’s CEO Plays Key Role in Acquisition

According to WWD, Martinetto stated that his relationship with Four Marketing’s CEO Ben Banks was crucial in the brand’s transition to new ownership. He believes that Four Marketing’s strong supply chain operations, retail presence, and direct-to-consumer expertise will be instrumental in A-COLD-WALL*’s future growth.

Tomorrow to Continue Distributing A-COLD-WALL* Outside of UK

In the deal, Tomorrow will still distribute A-COLD-WALL* outside of the UK, while Four Marketing will handle distribution within the country. The details of the acquisition and sale were not disclosed.
