For decades, UNDERCOVER and Sanrio have been a dynamic duo, collaborating on everything from cute keychain collections to character-covered T-shirt lines. But their latest team-up is their most special one yet. In honor of Hello Kitty, Patty & Jimmy, and My Melody’s 50th anniversary, the fashion label led by Jun Takahashi and the Japanese entertainment company have joined forces once again to create an expansive lineup of ready-to-wear and accessories featuring Sanrio’s beloved characters.

The collection includes a range of items such as sweatshirts, T-shirts, tote bags, caps, and pouches, all adorned with beaded and sequined versions of each character’s original design from the time of Sanrio’s launch. And of course, you’ll also find UNDERCOVER’s iconic “U” and bear motif incorporated into the designs. The standout pieces in the collection are the sweatshirts, which come in three styles: a hoodie, an oversized crewneck, and a pullover with a unique short front hem and long back hem. With a muted color palette, these clothing items allow the embroidered takes on Sanrio’s classic characters to shine, celebrating their monumental 50th year in pop culture.
Where and When to Shop the Collection
Excited to get your hands on this must-have collaboration? The UNDERCOVER x Sanrio 50th-anniversary collection will be available for purchase at Shinjuku Isetan Main Building and Nagoya Mitsukoshi on Wednesday, November 20. For those unable to make it to the physical stores, the collection will also be available online and at all UNDERCOVER stores on Saturday, November 23.
