Lemaire Expands to Japan with New Flagship Store in Tokyo

The renowned French fashion label, Lemaire, has made its way to Japan with the opening of its first flagship store in Tokyo. The store is located in the vibrant Ebisu neighborhood of Shibuya, in a beautifully renovated 1960s private residence that boasts an adjacent zen garden.

At 170-square-meters, the store is the third flagship location for Lemaire, following its successful stores in Paris and Seoul. The brand’s founders, Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, shared their reasoning behind choosing this particular location, stating, “We chose this house to highlight the natural connection between our collections and a domestic atmosphere. Our pieces are designed for everyday living, with the idea of a perfectly proportioned home as a protective shelter in mind.”

Stepping into the Lemaire Tokyo flagship store is like entering a tranquil oasis in the midst of the bustling city. The two-story building is adorned with traditional Japanese plaster, while Sudare bamboo blinds seamlessly blend with the brand’s signature fixtures. The living room area features the iconic Freud couch, along with three vintage kilim rugs and handwoven wadded panels and abac mats covering the first floor.

Fashion enthusiasts in the area can now visit the Lemaire Tokyo flagship store in Ebisu, Tokyo, and experience the brand’s unique blend of French and Japanese influences. The store is a true reflection of Lemaire’s vision and aesthetic, inviting fans into their “home” and offering a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
