Nike and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital: A Dynamic Duo for 20 Years
For two decades, Nike and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital have been teaming up to make a difference in the lives of young patients. And they’re doing it in the coolest way possible – by designing sneakers.
This beloved program has not only raised over $40 million USD, but it has also given 122 patient-designers the opportunity to showcase their creativity and leave a lasting impact. And just last month, the duo presented their 20th collection, which resulted in a record-breaking sale of $77,500 USD for Connor Kassing Fernández’s Air Max DN design.
But the giving doesn’t stop there. In addition to the special auction of a one-of-a-kind Air Jordan 20 “Doernbecher Freestyle,” Nike and OHSU have launched a silent auction featuring over 50 sneakers from the past two decades of releases. And let us tell you, these kicks are fire.
From fan favorites like Kian Safholm’s LeBron 13 (pictured above) to Donovon Dinneen’s Air Jordan 15 and Jaren Heacock’s Zoom Vomero 5 from last year, there’s something for every sneakerhead. And if that’s not enough, you can also snag the limited edition Doernbecher Freestyle 20th Anniversary T-Shirt for just $40 USD.
But don’t wait too long – the silent auction is open now on Classy and will only run until Monday, November 18 at 1pm EST. Keep in mind that items have reserve values, shipping and handling fees, and buy it now prices, so make sure to read the fine print.
Join Nike and OHSU in their mission to make a difference and score some seriously cool kicks in the process. It’s a win-win situation.
