Nepenthes London and NEEDLES Team Up for Exclusive Capsule Collection
Japanese streetwear brand NEEDLES has joined forces with Nepenthes London to create a limited edition capsule collection, available exclusively at the Nepenthes London store. The collaboration features two iconic NEEDLES silhouettes, reimagined with a fresh and striking twist. The Rebuild by NEEDLES Covered Pant and the Needles Mohair Cardigan will be hitting the shelves early next week, so mark your calendars.
The Rebuild by NEEDLES line was originally created as a way for the brand to repurpose vintage garments into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. The Rebuild by NEEDLES Covered Pant is a distressed denim pant, elevated with Glen plaid wool strips down the sides. This combination of old and new creates a truly unique and eye-catching design.
The Needles Mohair Cardigan takes inspiration from the iconic John Lurie, who famously wore a similar cardigan in the cult classic film Stranger Than Paradise. Made entirely from mohair yarn, this shaggy and soft cardigan features a diamond jacquard design that is sure to turn heads.
NEEDLES designer Keizo Shimizu explains the concept behind the Rebuild line, stating, “Rebuilding is not just remaking. It’s combining several items to create a new, one-of-a-kind piece.” This philosophy is evident in the striking designs of both the Covered Pant and Mohair Cardigan.
To showcase the collection, the duo has released a lookbook featuring the two pieces in a bowling alley setting, inspired by the film The Big Lebowski. The lookbook captures the playful and unique spirit of the collaboration.
