Get Ready for the 40th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 1 with the New “Obsidian” Colorway
It’s almost 2025 and the 40th anniversary of the iconic Air Jordan 1 is just around the corner. And let us tell you, it’s going to be a huge year for this sneaker. From classic releases like the ’85 “Bred” to a brand new Off-White™ collaboration, there’s a lot to look forward to. But the latest addition to the 2025 release roster is the highly anticipated “Obsidian” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG.
This new iteration features the same color blocking as the 2019 Air Jordan 1 High “Obsidian”, with a dark blue and “University Blue” color scheme. The off-white leather base is also present, with the “Obsidian” color covering the overlays and Swooshes, while the lighter blue takes over the heel. The sneaker is completed with an off-white stitched midsole and dark blue outsole.
As of now, Jordan Brand has not revealed any details about the release of this “Obsidian” colorway. But we can expect it to drop on March 22, 2025 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, with a retail price of $140 USD.
