18 East and Nanga Team Up for Second Co-Created Collection: “Winter Trek”

It’s been almost 11 months since their first collaboration in November 2023, but 18 East and Nanga are back with a new joint effort: the “Winter Trek” collection. Inspired by the skilled artisans of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains and the serene beauty of a winter trek to visit them, this collection features two collaborative jackets and a five-piece range of accompanying 18 East apparel.

Jackets Inspired by the Atlas Mountains

The collection includes two reimagined jackets from Nanga’s signature line: the Hooded Range Jacket and the Lookout Jacket. The Hooded Range Jacket comes in a warm mocha color and is made from 10dn recycled nylon, lined with 155g Spanish duck down, and boasts other impressive features. The Lookout Jacket, on the other hand, is seeing its second reimagining by 18 East, this time using flame-resistant Japanese Takibi fabric. It also features water-repellant duck down, making it a durable and functional choice for any winter trek.

Stylish and Sustainable Apparel

In addition to the jackets, the collection also includes non-down jacket apparel. The Banks Utility Fleece and Azzenden Fleece pant are made from hand-block printed deep pile sherpa cotton that is 100% organic. The Banks Utility Fleece has multiple pockets, while the Azzenden Fleece pant has pinchable leg openings. The Tizi mountain shirt is handspun from exploded ripstop cotton and has four pockets, while the TAC cargo pant pays homage to vintage climbing and military styles. The collection is completed with the Hirock Half Sleeve Crewneck, which features a boxy, oversized fit and a unique crop with an asymmetrical snap pocket.

Where to Find the Collection

The 18 East x Nanga “Winter Trek” collection will be available at Nanga’s flagship store in Harajuku on October 25. It will also be released online via the 18 East webstore on October 30 at 11 AM EST, and in 18 East’s New York City studio shortly after. Don’t miss your chance to snag these stylish and sustainable pieces inspired by the Atlas Mountains.
