From PUMA to Balenciaga: A Look at the Best Kicks Worn by Show Attendees
Shanghai Fashion Week was once again the place to be for emerging fashion talents and trendsetters. As the city’s streets were flooded with stylish attendees, Hypebeast was there to capture the best street style moments and identify the hottest footwear trends.
PUMA’s growing prominence was evident in the crowd, with the brand’s iconic Speedcat OG making a comeback and bolder looks like A$AP Rocky’s 3D-printed Mostro and Ottolinger’s golden Mostro Boots catching our eye. Wild boots were also a popular choice, with local brand 27QUAI GROSMOTT’s retro-inspired design and hybrid sneaker-heel model making an appearance.
Designer collaborations were also a hit, with Cecilie Bahnsen’s ASICS GEL-QUANTUM VIII and Rick Owens’ Vans-esque Vintage sneaker being spotted on showgoers. Balenciaga’s boundary-pushing creations were a focal point, while Kiko Kostadinov’s work with ASICS was celebrated with the NOVALIS GEL-STYRAX. Miu Miu x New Balance made a subtle appearance, and a proud owner of the 2017 COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Force 1s, adorned with a dinosaur mold by American artist Scott Hove, made a statement.
