New Balance and COMME des GARÇONS Team Up for Sleek 860v2 Collaboration
After the successful reissue of their archival sneaker earlier this year, New Balance is back at it again with new 860v2 variants and collaborations. This time, they have teamed up with fashion powerhouse COMME des GARÇONS to give the retro runner a modern twist.
The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 860v2 takes the performance silhouette and gives it a sleek and stylish makeover. The materials of the body have been toned down for a more refined look, with tight-gauge mesh underlays and subtle tonal variations.
Embossed synthetic overlays and suede details add depth and dimension to the overall design. The collaboration will feature two colorways – an all-black version and a signature gray one. Both will have a white midsole with gray-and-black outsoles, adding a touch of contrast.
In the gray colorway, darker overlays and eyestays add depth, while in the black variant, the overlays stand out against the pitch-black underlays. Both pairs feature silver lines on the heel counters and a red “NB” emblem below the heel tab. The COMME des GARÇONS branding is prominently displayed alongside the New Balance word mark on the tongue and insoles.
