YMC and Lavenham Team Up for Quilted Jacket Collaboration

London-based fashion brand YMC and quilted outerwear expert Lavenham have joined forces to create a collection of stylish and functional jackets. The collaboration marks the first time the two English brands have worked together, resulting in two unique designs that blend traditional details with modern utility updates.

The Bros Bomber Jacket draws inspiration from vintage military bombers, featuring a ribbed collar, cuffs, and waistband. The muted olive green fabric, also used in the other style, is quilted in a traditional onion pattern reminiscent of authentic liner jackets. YMC’s signature workwear touches can be seen in the two roomy front pockets, making them the focal point of the jacket.

The Heath Bomber Jacket, designed for women, is a cropped and collared bomber with a hidden corduroy detail that becomes visible when the collar is inverted. Side pockets add a subtle touch to the front of the jacket, while a quilted flap covers the silver zipper closure. Unlike the Bros jacket, the waistband of the Heath jacket features adjustable bungee cords for a tactical touch.

Both jackets are made with 100% recycled polyester and feature a classic orange interior. The campaign for the collection was shot by YMC’s half-Japanese creative director Sage Toda-Nation in Tokyo, highlighting the historic dialogue between Western fashion and Japanese youth culture. This theme is also reflected in YMC’s FW24 collection, which draws inspiration from Western prep style while incorporating Japanese influences, such as denim patchwork.
