With a sleek white base and accents of marsh green and sea salt, the 740 is a perfect blend of retro and modern design. Senior Product Manager David Kent explains, “We wanted to maintain the original technical design of the shoe while giving it a contemporary update with new colors and trim.”
The upper features a combination of synthetic materials, mesh, and metallic overlays, with reflective accents and contrasting striped ribbon eyelets for added interest. The brand’s signature ABZORB midsole provides comfort and support, while the dark green outsoles tie in with the color scheme of the upper.
But it’s not just about looks – the 740 was well-loved among running enthusiasts for its comfortable fit. And to add even more excitement to the release, New Balance has collaborated with rapper Aminé to create a bold blue and orange version of the shoe, set to drop on November 1.
