Martine Rose and Clarks: A Bold Collaboration
British-Jamaican designer Martine Rose and iconic shoe brand Clarks have joined forces once again to bring us a fresh drop of new footwear. This collaboration injects archival Clarks styles with bold colors, textured leathers, and padded uppers, creating a collection that is both comfortable and stylish.
Since Rose’s appointment as a guest creative director for Clarks in 2023, she has pushed the brand into new territory with her unique blend of modern influences. This latest collection, aptly named “Coming Up Roses,” showcases Rose’s knack for combining comfort and fashion.
Some of our favorite styles from the previous season, such as the Oxford and The Loafer, make a comeback with a twist. The shoes are now adorned with inflated leather down padding, giving them a puffy silhouette that demands attention. Rose has also chosen to use bold, singular colors like classic black, lilac purple, and tangerine orange, making each pair a statement piece.
The collection also features a reimagined version of the Wallabee-inspired Clarks Torhill Hi. This time, it comes in a walnut brown faux crocodile with a gold-foiled Martine Rose x Clarks tag. For those looking for an easy slip-on style, The Clog is available in faux crocodile, leather fur, and performance upper fabrications, all resting on a textured athletic midsole.
Rose and Clarks have also added two heeled options to the collection: the mid-heel Loafers and the pointed low-heel Slingback styles. Both of these styles continue the trend of down-padded uppers, providing both comfort and style.
In addition to this collaboration, Rose also recently unveiled a reimagined Clarks Desert Trek in a capsule collection with Supreme. The Martine Rose x Supreme Clarks Desert Trek comes in three colorways and features a similar faux crocodile design.
