Nike Air Max 90 “Dark Russet” Pays Homage to Classic 1999 Silhouette
Nike is once again drawing inspiration from its iconic past to create new and exciting footwear options. The latest addition to the Nike Air Max 90 lineup is the “Dark Russet” colorway, which pays tribute to the timeless 1999 Air Tuned Max “Celery” silhouette.
The “Dark Russet” version features a bold and eye-catching color scheme, with a black mesh base, metallic copper overlays, and an iridescent upper. The sneaker also boasts a black midsole and outsole, with dark russet eyelets and an iridescent Nike logo on the tongue. The iconic Nike logo in black can also be found on the back of the heel.
The Air Tuned Max “Celery” was previously referenced in Skepta’s 2017 collaboration with Nike for the Air Max 97, and was brought back in retro form in 2021. Sneaker enthusiasts can get their hands on the Nike Air Max 90 “Dark Russet” for $140 USD when it drops on October 15. Check out the gallery above for a closer look at this must-have sneaker.
