MM6 Maison Margiela Named Guest Designer of Pitti Uomo 107

According to WWD, MM6 Maison Margiela has been chosen as the guest designer for the upcoming Pitti Uomo 107 event in Florence. The highly anticipated fashion fair will take place from January 14 to 17 at the historic Fortezza da Basso.

The brand has yet to reveal the exact date and format of their presentation for their Fall 2025 collection, but they have confirmed that it will be exclusively menswear. In an exclusive statement to the outlet, the brand’s design team expressed their excitement and honor to be a part of the prestigious event.

“We are thrilled to be invited as the guest designer for Pitti Uomo this January. We plan to bring the unique style and spirit of MM6 to Florence, creating a menswear project specifically for the occasion. After almost two decades, we are excited to bring Maison Margiela back to the Pitti stage and showcase a contemporary menswear wardrobe that embodies the attitude, concepts, and processes of MM6,” the team shared.

MM6 Maison Margiela will be joined by Satoshi Kuwata’s Setchu, who was announced as the other guest designer for the trade fair in September. The two labels will follow in the footsteps of previous guest designers such as Marine Serre, S.S. Daley, ERL’s Eli Russell Linnetz, Grace Wales Bonner, Magliano, JW Anderson, and Craig Green.

“The deliberate sense of provocation is almost familiar, as it is part of the essence of each MM6 piece,” said Francesca Tacconi, special events coordinator for Pitti Immagine. “MM6 explores different postures and behaviors in the here and now. They become symbols of inner nonconformity, and independent expressions of a wardrobe celebrating the beauty and surprises of imperfection. To us, it seems like a return to origins rendered contemporary by the dialogue between deconstructed sartorialwear and characteristic individuality.”
