Coperni Takes Paris Fashion Week to the Happiest Place on Earth
As the curtains close on another successful Fashion Month, Coperni decided to end things with a bang. And what better way to do so than by transporting showgoers to the magical world of Disneyland Paris on the final night of Paris Fashion Week?
At 9:30 p.m., guests were welcomed into the Magic Kingdom, strolling down a lit-up Main Street and sipping on champagne as they made their way to the park’s quaint Town Square. Mickey Mouse and Friends were there to greet them, adding to the excitement of the evening.
But the real highlight of the night was yet to come. As the fashion brigade made their way towards Sleeping Beauty Castle, anticipation was high for Coperni’s Spring 2025 collection, set to be showcased in the bright pink fortress.
Designers Sebastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant explained the inspiration behind their collection, saying, “We grew up with Disney as an important part of our childhood. For many French children, particularly those from the provinces, the first family visit to the big city Paris meant a trip to Disneyland Paris. Disney’s fairy tales and characters were our guides through the complex landscape of human emotions.”
And with that, the show began, with the collection divided into three acts: “Park Tribes,” “The Villains,” and “The Princess Transformation.”
The first act captured the carefree spirit of kids running through the park, with vintage Disney T-shirts and Victorian tops adorned with organza butterflies. The front row couldn’t help but let out a few “awws” at the adorable looks.
The second act, marked by bursts of flames from the castle, took a darker turn with an all-black palette and sharp cuts reminiscent of Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent. The result was a cunningly alluring collection that paid homage to the iconic villain.
But it was the final chapter that truly stole the show. Models transformed into modern-day princesses, with blazers adorned with floral decals, billowing pastel sleeves, and dramatic satin poufs. And to top it all off, Kylie Jenner made a surprise appearance in a grand black gown, before fireworks blasted from Sleeping Beauty Castle, signaling the end of the show.
But the night was far from over. As the final carousel came to a stop, the glitterati of Paris Fashion Week continued to revel in the magic of Disneyland Paris, battling it out in Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast, riding Hyperspace Mountain, and indulging in Mickey Mouse-shaped fries. It was truly a fairy-tale ending to Fashion Month.
