Is Caitlin Clark the Next Nike Kobe Ambassador? Check Out Her Latest On-Court Kicks
If you’re looking for proof that Caitlin Clark could be the next face of the Nike Kobe series, just take a look at her feet. The rookie sensation has been turning heads with her unique player exclusive (PE) colorways throughout her debut season. And while she may have a reported $28 million USD deal with Nike that includes a signature shoe, Clark has been rocking various pairs of Kobes as a member of the Indiana Fever.
During a recent practice, Clark was spotted in her first pair of Nike Kobe 5 Protro PEs. And just a few weeks later, she debuted a new colorway of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE featuring a never-before-seen gradient design. Now, as she makes her post-season debut, the WNBA star is lacing up another pair of Nike Kobe 5 Protro PEs. This time, the shoes pay homage to her team, the Indiana Fever, with a predominantly navy leather upper, midsole, and outsole. The tongue, laces, heel branding, and Swoosh outline feature a vibrant gradient of fluorescent hyper-pink and university gold.
The Kobe 5 was originally released in 2009 and is known for its lightweight, low-top design. It also boasts Flywire technology and Zoom Air cushioning for added support and comfort on the court. Take a closer look at Clark’s latest PE in the photo above or below. And stay tuned to see if she becomes the next Nike Kobe ambassador.
