ANREALAGE Takes Paris Fashion Week by Storm with “WIND” Collection

ANREALAGE, the avant-garde fashion label known for its innovative designs, made a bold statement at Paris Fashion Week with its Spring 2025 show. The collection, titled “WIND,” was a playful and imaginative exploration of the relationship between fashion and technology.

The show opened with a thoughtful gesture from the brand, as guests were greeted with functional handheld fans – a courteous present for those who may have forgotten this essential fashion week accessory. But the fans were more than just a practical gift – they were a teaser for what was to come.

Designer Kunihiko Morinaga had prepared an air-filled collection that literally blew up and out of proportion all over the body. Collaborating with Japanese pioneer in air-conditioned utilitarian clothing, KUCHOFUKU, ANREALAGE used gusts of wind to pump up its loud and in-charge silhouettes.

The inflated pieces, made with thin nylon textiles, weighed only 23 grams per square meter. But they were powerful – both powered by wind and protecting against it. Color-blocked windbreaker jackets transformed into billowing thermo-protective armor with the simple click of a button. Kaleidoscopic puffer coats, turtleneck long sleeves, bow-shaped tops, and tubular skirts similarly expanded in unison, fending off nature’s foes with a playful agenda.

The collection also featured sculptural designs that pushed the concept into the avant-garde, solidifying ANREALAGE’s reputation as an art-driven brand. The SS25 manifesto was all about tickling the imagination, with Morinaga’s signature fashion-tech blend. This is not the first time the brand has made waves with its innovative designs – in Fall 2023, ANREALAGE debuted UV light-generated pieces that were later worn by Beyoncé on her Renaissance World Tour.

While the collection may not be realistically wearable, that is not ANREALAGE’s goal. The breakthrough-driven imprint is much more interested in making a puffed-up punch.
