Simone Belloti Takes Milan Fashion Week by Storm with Bally’s SS25 Collection
Bally’s creative director, Simone Belloti, is making waves at Milan Fashion Week with his third collection for the luxury house. After last season’s successful fusion of rural and urban styles, Belloti is now drawing inspiration from Zurich’s Dada artistic movement from centuries past for his Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
This season, Belloti is letting his inner child run wild, incorporating rounded shoulders and bold primary hues into his contemporary designs. Playful energy is the key theme, as Bally balances real and imaginary spirits in staple silhouettes that have been deconstructed and proudly rebuilt.
The show took place in Milan’s historic gardens, basking in the warm Italian sunshine. The 56-look collection exudes elevated sophistication with an unmistakable edge, featuring rough-cut leather, crinkled textiles, and pleated denim in renewed silhouettes.
German author and poet Hugo Ball’s influence can be seen in the rounded figures of SS25, with exaggerated trench coats, frozen suiting, and ruffled outerwear with cocooning shoulders. The collection also includes cropped leather jackets paired with asymmetrical skirts, studded handbags, mesh-lined vests, and peplumed attire with an extravagant aura.
Belloti also plays with shapes, grouping collarless outerwear at the shoulders to create unrealistic figures. The collection is completed with daily overcoats, floral-printed knitwear, and warped Canadian tuxedos, adding an abstract advantage to the overall look.
