adidas Originals and JD Sports Celebrate London’s Youth Culture with Kano and Friends

London’s vibrant youth culture was on full display as adidas Originals and JD Sports joined forces for an intimate live show curated by brand ambassador and multi-talented artist, Kano. The event, held at Stevo1k Omeara, was a celebration of creativity and collaboration, paying homage to the city’s diverse and ever-evolving scene.

Known for pioneering grime culture and launching his own Caribbean rum brand, Duppy Share, Kano is no stranger to pushing boundaries and staying true to his roots. Teaming up with independent radio platform Balamii, Kano hand-selected nine artists and DJs to create a set of the UK’s best, including Bashy, Skrapz, HOPE, Enny, and Grace Acladna, as well as guest DJs Plastician, Izzy Bossy, and Kim Turnball.

The lineup of artists and DJs represented a mix of cultures and influences, reflecting the melting pot of London’s creative scene. The venue was transformed for the evening, with Balamii’s signature blue lighting and projected footage of iconic grime and rap artists through the ages. Guests were treated to custom cocktails made with Kano’s signature rum, while Young MasterChef judge and Chef Big Has served up his own spin on the classic kebab, elevating the dish with BBQ lamb, chips, and salsa rossa, all inspired by Kano’s roots.

But the event was more than just a celebration of music and style; it was a testament to the power of collaboration and cultural pride. By bringing together a diverse lineup of artists, DJs, and creatives, adidas Originals and JD Sports honored the rich tapestry of the UK’s influence on youth culture. From the music to the food, every detail paid homage to the city’s creative pulse, leaving guests inspired and eager for what’s next.
