London Fashion Week: Charlie Constantinou Takes Over with Gorpcore-Inspired Collection
London Fashion Week has come to a close once again, leaving us with a season to remember. And what better way to end it than with the debut of Charlie Constantinou, a first-time runway participant who has taken the fashion world by storm.
Graduating from Central Saint Martins, Constantinou has quickly gained a cult following with his gorpcore daydreams and winter collaborations with 66°North. And now, as part of the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN class of 2024/25, he has closed the occasion with a bang.
His Spring/Summer 2025 collection continues to expand his marvelous universe, showcasing a versatile range of co-ed athletic gear that doesn’t sacrifice excitement. Utilizing a plethora of deadstock nylon, Constantinou presents 28 looks that are guided by gorpcore signatures.
The first look features hand-dyed nylons, layered outerwear, and zippered parachute pants. ’90s-style zip-ups receive a playful touch with ruffled peplums, while military cargo pants with concealed pockets emulate desert scenery. Graphic flames add a pop of excitement to cozy knitwear for women, while men can enjoy ribbed sweater vests and matching headscarves.
But that’s not all – Constantinou also presents his most expansive womenswear offering to date. Textured tanks with bubbled seams and voluminous silhouettes are followed by printed wrap-around tops, cut-out tees, and knitted dresses that bring gorpcore to the dance floor.
