Romanian-Born Designer Ancuta Sarca Takes London Fashion Week by Storm
London Fashion Week has been graced with the presence of Romanian-born designer Ancuta Sarca, who has quickly become a must-see on the schedule. Supported by the British Fashion Council, Sarca has returned for another season with her unique and immersive presentations that showcase her hybrid footwear designs.
For her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Sarca draws inspiration from modern office culture while paying homage to the optimism of the 1960s with a touch of elegance. She refines the trend of the “office siren” with relaxed yet sophisticated looks that adhere to the new rules of corporate fashion.
The presentation space was transformed into a bustling office setting, complete with soft beige flooring, supportive armrests, fluorescent lighting, and the sound of keyboards typing. Sarca’s collection features low-slung tennis uniforms, ruffled hoodies, pleated shorts, buckled capris, and patent leather-trimmed workwear sets in versatile neutral tones, all inspired by the fast-paced working culture of London.
As always, Sarca wows with her signature kitten heels, this time presenting them in leopard print with straps and folded collar attachments. She also introduces knee-high and calf-length boots in bold animal prints, as well as loafers with contrasting mesh panels.
But the surprises don’t stop there. Sarca also unveiled two unexpected collaborations during London Fashion Week, teaming up with Crocs and Clarks Originals for the first time. The former’s platform slip-ons feature glistening gradient hues, metallic buckles, and wildcat inserts, while the latter’s iconic Wallabee has been reimagined with repurposed materials and transformed into flapped heels with metal clasp details.
