Irish Designer Simone Rocha Blooms at London Fashion Week with Borderless Runway

Simone Rocha is back and ready to play at London Fashion Week. The Irish designer took over the third day of the event with a stunning runway adorned with carnation flowers. Known for her boundary-pushing designs, Rocha continues to challenge traditional gender norms by blending masculine and feminine styles with a dark twist. After her successful Victorian-inspired runway series in February, the designer is now exploring the concept of perfection for her Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

From rhinestone-encrusted Crocs to delicate ballerina dresses and unconventional silhouettes, Simone Rocha looks inward for inspiration. She lifts the curtain on her creative process by dividing the collection into different parts, including sweet-smelling florals, “Fear, Fun, Control,” and a battle of the sexes. The show opened with a variety of looks, with models rushing down the runway in half-dressed ensembles. Tulle-trimmed bodysuits were paired with oversized sleeve covers on one side, while sheer lingerie peeked out from under ruffled skirts. Cutout zip-ups revealed silk bralettes and delicate waistlines, paired with mini ballerina skirts and sequined socks.

The collection also featured shimmering hot pants and v-neck jumpers for men, followed by chained tops and flower-painted anoraks in delicate pink hues. In the second part of the show, pink carnations took center stage, appearing in three-dimensional forms on translucent cover-ups and cascading down the front of shielded gowns. Models even carried floral bouquets with pre-attached wrist straps, adding a whimsical touch to the collection.

Simone Rocha also debuted her third collaboration with Crocs on the runway, showcasing platformed sandals, furry ballerina flats, and embellished slip-ons in black, cream, and muted pink tones. The UK designer also dominated denim with contrast-stitched uniforms and embellished ’90s bottoms.
