Tanner Fletcher Takes Over Chelsea Gallery with Whimsical Spring/Summer 2025 Exhibit
Step into the world of Tanner Fletcher and be transported back in time with their latest Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Designers Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell have outdone themselves with a striking museum exhibit in a Chelsea gallery space, showcasing their unique and charming take on fashion.
Upon entering the exhibit, guests were handed The Artist’s Dilemma newspaper, a clever play on traditional collection notes. The exhibit itself aimed to explore the benefits of an artist’s dilemma, with models perched on individual stages throughout the all-white space, each with their own thematic props and witty title placards.
The first look, entitled “Loves Me, Loves Me Not,” featured a floor-length silk gown with a model dropping white flower petals onto the ground. As guests continued through the gallery, they were greeted by other playful looks such as “Cat Lady” with a ceramic cat on a silk leash, “First Day of School” with a stack of books, and “Gym Rats” on a vintage workout bike. Each look was carefully curated to showcase the whimsical and creative spirit of Tanner Fletcher.
But the exhibit didn’t stop at just fashion. Models were seen working on various projects, from miniature house painting to curating floral arrangements, all while embodying the concept of The Artist’s Dilemma. Craftsmanship was also emphasized in pieces like “The Artist and Her Muse,” where a model was painted by an artist, and “Tailor Adorning Suit with Bows” and “The Yarn Winder,” which highlighted the intricacies of the collection.
According to Richie, the collection’s two key pieces are the Artist’s Dilemma shirt and ball gown, which perfectly encapsulate the ethos of the ready-to-wear range.
