Sandy Liang Unveils Spy Girl-Inspired Spring/Summer 2025 Collection
New York City’s it-girl, Sandy Liang, has just revealed her latest collection for Spring/Summer 2025 and it’s all about channeling your inner secret agent. The Lower Manhattan Altman Building was the perfect setting for Liang’s first collection since becoming a mother, as she continues to create her signature whimsical and hyperfeminine designs. Drawing inspiration from the animated series Totally Spies, Liang has crafted a wardrobe fit for a satin-wearing spy stationed in Soho.
In her collection notes, Liang explains, “Being a princess is a job, just like being a spy girl is a job.” And this season, she has created pieces for every occasion – from work to the subway to a piano recital. The Sandy Liang Spring/Summer 2025 collection is all about being a secret agent, even if it’s just for your own secrets, and always being ready to go.
The front row of Liang’s show was filled with internet-favorite it-girls like Orion Carloto, Devon Lee Carlson, and Sydney Carlson. And each of the womenswear looks spoke for itself, featuring a colorful array of convertible garments. Liang explains, “The skirts are short, the shorts are shorter. Sometimes, the skirts are shorts. A pale blue work jumpsuit is a dress. A metal tube of lipstick is a laser…Metal can be soft. Practicality can be fantastic and fantasy can be practical.” Liang has successfully merged the practical needs of a spy with her fantastical femininity.
The collection is dominated by shades of pink, with a variety of floral-printed pieces, including a dress made entirely of transparent flowers, a chain-mail set, and a floral appliqué dress. Standout pieces include a hyper-mini skirt with a hidden internal zipped pocket, a tiny trench coat, and a pageant sash dress. The footwear also features unique designs, with shoes held together by a single ring and a new heeled court shoe.
Accessories, or should we say gadgets, include silver leather bags and charms. Liang adds, “Each piece is password protected; only you can unlock.” The Sandy Liang Spring/Summer 2025 collection is a perfect blend of practicality and fantasy, and we can’t wait to see it on the streets.
