Ralph Lauren Kicks Off New York Fashion Week with Destination Runway Show in the Hamptons
On the eve of New York Fashion Week’s official commencement, Ralph Lauren decided to start things off early with a destination runway show in one of his favorite spots out east: Bridgehampton. The iconic designer, known for his timeless and sophisticated style, chose the Hamptons as the perfect backdrop for his Spring 2025 Ralph Lauren Collection, Purple Label, and Polo Ralph Lauren lines for men, women, and children.
For Lauren, the Hamptons holds a special place in his heart, as it has been the setting for many of his “most cherished” memories with his family. In his own words, “The Hamptons is more than a place. It’s a natural world of endless blue skies, the ocean, green fields, and white fences, rusticity and elegance with a quality of light that drew artists here decades ago. It has been home, my refuge and always an inspiration.”
The runway show took place in a neighborhood venue, with the bright floors serving as the perfect canvas for the classic blazers, tailored suits, and sharp menswear shirting in signature shades of blue and white. The Ralph Lauren Collection and Purple Label designs drew inspiration directly from their surroundings, with the designer citing the “essence of coastal sophistication” as the main theme for their moodboards.
Meanwhile, the Polo Ralph Lauren collection took a sportier approach, featuring reimagined spectator styles with grand graphic illustrations and more vibrant tones. The eclectic mix of boho and Western elements paid homage to the Hamptons’ equestrian history.
After the show, guests were treated to a dedicated recreation of Ralph Lauren’s famous restaurant, The Polo Bar. Under brass lanterns, they enjoyed a banquet-style meal of local fish, burgers, and cocktails, giving them a taste of what an average night out east is like for Mr. Lauren himself.
