Stone Island’s Fall/Winter 2024 Collection Celebrates Community and Culture with Star-Studded Campaign
The highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2024 collection from Stone Island, titled “The Compass Inside,” has finally arrived. And with it comes the next chapter in the brand’s “Community as a Form of Research” project, which aims to honor the label’s community and culture through dynamic and thought-provoking campaigns.
Mixing the worlds of music, sport, art, and everything in between, Stone Island’s latest collection features a star-studded cast including rock’n’roll legend Liam Gallagher, DJ and producer Peggy Gou, actor and curator Russell Tovey, and skateboarder Sage Elsesser. Captured by renowned photographer David Sims, the campaign seeks to define what sets the Stone Island community apart, with a series of questions from curator and cultural critic Hans Ulrich Obrist.
Among the inquiries, Obrist asks Gallagher, “Do you prefer the desert, forest, mountain or beach?” to which the rocker responds, “Any of them as long as there’s a cheeky little bar.” Gou is asked, “What advice would you give your younger self?” and she responds, “Don’t take rubbish from other people.” This quartet of portraits will be followed by eight additional campaign images featuring more members of the Stone Island community, each answering Obrist’s questions.
The brand’s president, Carlo Rivetti, will also make an appearance wearing the iconic President’s Kit, first introduced in the AW ‘998-’999 collection. Other notable figures in the campaign include creator Philippe Starck, artist Alexandre Diop, parkour athlete Davide Garzetti, photographer Liam MacRae, music producer Axl Beats, and graphic designer Yoshirotten. Together, they round out the brand’s Fall/Winter 2024 campaign, showcasing the diverse and dynamic community that Stone Island has built.
