Le PÈRE Launches Fifth Collection for FW24, Collaborates with Animator Drew Tyndell
New York-based menswear brand Le PÈRE has just dropped its highly anticipated fifth collection for Fall/Winter 2024. This time, the brand has teamed up with Portland-based animator and illustrator Drew Tyndell to create a unique fusion of abstract forms and shapes with subverted sportswear motifs.
The collection draws inspiration from the worlds of boxing and wrestling, incorporating elements of their garment aesthetics. But don’t expect your typical athletic wear – Le PÈRE puts its own spin on things by infusing expressive designs, punk-inspired denim washes, and darker colors.
One of the standout pieces from the collection is the Jock Tee, which combines a classic ’90s basketball jersey front with a t-shirt base. This piece is a nod to iconic films like White Men Can’t Jump, adding a touch of nostalgia to the collection.
But the real star of the show is Tyndell’s contribution. His signature abstract, impressionist style is evident in pieces like the Tyndell Sweater, featuring multicolor mohair stripes in nonlinear patterns. His iconic multicolor head motif also makes an appearance on the Tyndell Face Sweater and Tyndell Pullover, adding a touch of whimsy to the collection.
This collaboration marks Tyndell’s first foray into the world of fashion, bringing his background in animation, graphic design, and abstract expressionism to the table. And it’s safe to say that the result is nothing short of stunning.
Part one of Le PÈRE’s FW24 collection is now available on their official website and in select stores. Don’t miss your chance to snag these must-have pieces and add a touch of expressive sensuality to your wardrobe.
