Palace Skateboards Takes on the Snow with Oakley Collaboration
For its seventh winter drop, Palace Skateboards is switching things up and hitting the slopes with its first-ever snowboard-specific collection of apparel and accessories. In partnership with Oakley, the brand known for its adventurous eyewear, Palace is bringing a range of cold-weather performance gear that draws inspiration from Oakley’s 1990s archives.
The collection, aptly equipped to take wearers from the slopes to après, features a sky-inspired “day cloud” and “night cloud” print that dominates the color palette. These prints can be seen on the technical puffa jackets and mesh venting on the matching snow pants. But the collaboration doesn’t stop there – Palace and Oakley also offer fleece and lycra-panelled Sherpa fleece zip-ups, technical jerseys made from wicking fabrics for optimal heat regulation, and co-branded Tri-ferg t-shirts.
Not only does the collection include apparel, but it also features a collaborative footwear offering: the Oakley Edge Flex, a sport-inspired sneaker made from water-resistant fabric with chunky rubber soles and a ballistic upper. And to complete the winter sports look, K2 Snowboarding joins in on the collaboration with a co-branded snowboard. Other accessories include goggles, a MOD 1 Helmet, caps, beanies, gloves, backpacks, balaclavas, and a new version of Oakley’s “Clifden” sunglasses.
Check out the Lev Tanju-shot lookbook, featuring Palace skate team members Juan Saavedra and Charlie Birch, in the gallery above. The collection will be available on Friday, November 15 at the official Palace webstore. Don’t miss out on this epic collaboration for your winter wardrobe.
