A groundbreaking new survey has revealed a surprising trend among home cannabis cultivators. According to the study, a whopping two-thirds of these green-thumbed individuals were inspired to start growing tomatoes after cultivating marijuana. And that’s not all – nearly a quarter of respondents admitted that they had never even considered growing tomatoes until years after their first cannabis plant.

But tomatoes weren’t the only crop that sparked the interest of these budding horticulturists. The survey, which polled 1,327 home cannabis growers, found that other popular crops included basil, strawberries, chili peppers, cucumbers, and lettuce. It seems that once these growers got a taste of the satisfaction that comes with nurturing a plant from seed to harvest, they couldn’t stop at just one.

Jessica Hanson, a representative from Homegrown Cannabis Co., summed it up perfectly: “Cannabis isn’t a gateway drug, it’s a gateway crop.” She went on to explain that once people experience the joy and fulfillment of growing their own cannabis, they often find themselves branching out and trying their hand at other plants as well. Before they know it, their backyard is bursting with a variety of delicious and nutritious crops, from juicy tomatoes to hearty zucchinis.

So, it seems that cannabis isn’t just a source of relaxation and enjoyment for these home growers – it’s also a catalyst for a newfound love of gardening. Who knows, maybe this trend will inspire a whole new generation of green-thumbed hipsters. One thing’s for sure, with cannabis leading the way, the possibilities are endless.
