PALY Unveils Spooky Halloween Collection Inspired by Hollywood’s Dark Side
Get ready to channel your inner horror movie star with PALY’s latest Halloween capsule collection. The Los Angeles-based brand pays homage to its roots with a limited-edition line that combines fashion, art, and cult cinema phenomena.
The collection features a hoodie, sweatpants, t-shirt, and hat, all inspired by the fame and danger lurking in Hollywood’s hidden past. But that’s not all – to celebrate the launch, PALY is hosting a haunted house at the former residence of Samuel Goldwyn, a pioneer in the film industry. Step back in time to the 1950s and immerse yourself in the lore surrounding actress Lana Turner.
One standout piece from the collection is the “Special Forces L/S Tee,” which pays tribute to Turner’s infamous relationship with mobster Johnny Stompanato. The shirt is adorned with rhinestone embellishments and handwritten script, adding a touch of glamour to the dark subject matter.
Another must-have item is the “Rangely Hat // Classic High Crown,” which references the eerie “Poltergeist Curse.” This urban legend surrounds the deaths of multiple actors involved in the filming of the ’80s horror film trilogy. The hat features embroidered names of actors from the movie, along with PALY’s signature distressed detailing.
Kyle Lindgren, co-founder of PALY, reveals that the brand’s original hats were hand-faded outside his apartment in Hollywood, one by one. And while the team has grown, they still handle the distressing process by hand for a truly authentic touch.
The Halloween capsule collection is now available on PALY’s website, with prices ranging from $185 USD to $685 USD. With nods to both Hollywood’s past and present, this collection is a must-have for any horror movie fan. Check out the gallery above for a closer look at the cinematic details of the collection.
