Salomon Sportstyle Japan has joined forces with Kyoto-based creative Uchida “Uchi” Ryunosuke to create a one-of-a-kind version of the RX SLIDE 3.0. A Natural Dye Workshop and Evening Reception at Stumptown Coffee Mark the Launch of the RX SLIDE 3.0 “UCHI”

The RX SLIDE 3.0 “UCHI” takes Salomon’s iconic recovery silhouette to the next level with its unique pine needle-inspired graphics and minimalist design, reflecting Uchi’s naturalistic approach to design. With only 100 pairs produced worldwide, each gifted as a surprise to attendees, this collaboration is a must-have for any collector.

Craftsmanship and Community Spirit Combine at the Ace Hotel Kyoto

The launch of the RX SLIDE 3.0 “UCHI” coincided with the Ace Hotel’s “SLOW SERIES” workshop, where Uchi led a natural dyeing session using pine needle-based dyes. Along with tenugui and socks, the unreleased shoes were the highlight of the day, showcasing the perfect blend of craftsmanship and community spirit.

An Evening Reception at Stumptown Coffee Roasters Caps Off the Celebration

The festivities continued with an evening reception at Stumptown Coffee Roasters, where guests were treated to specialty cocktails and dishes created specifically for the occasion. While the limited-edition shoes are not available for purchase, this high-profile collaboration is just the beginning of what’s to come from Uchi.
