After a successful 15-year run, Takahiro Miyashita is stepping down as the creative force behind TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. The designer has not yet announced his next move, but the brand has assured fans that it will continue to thrive under new leadership.

Miyashita’s final collection for the label will be the highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2025 manifesto, titled “The Black-and-White Realism.” This collection is sure to be a fitting finale for the designer’s time at the helm.

In a heartfelt statement on social media, Miyashita expressed his gratitude for the journey he has taken with the brand. He described it as a “symphony” that has now come to a close. He also reflected on the brand’s ethos of creating well-crafted garments, comparing each piece to a musical note that is both simple and intricate.

The Japanese designer founded TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. in 2006, shortly after leaving his previous label, (N)umber Nine. Despite his departure, the brand has reassured fans that it will continue to thrive and evolve. In a statement, they confirmed their commitment to “nurturing its next chapter” and promised to reveal more details about the brand’s future at a later date.

As for Miyashita’s next move, he has hinted that his career as a fashion designer is far from over. In his own words, “Rock and Roll never dies.” He promises to continue making noise, just on a different stage with a new band. Fans can’t wait to see what he has in store next.
