Studio Nicholson Unveils FW25 Campaign Inspired by Vintage Militaria
Studio Nicholson has just released its highly anticipated FW25 campaign, shot by the talented Luna Conte at the iconic Kettle’s Yard in Cambridge. The historic home and museum, once owned by Tate Curator H.S. Jim Ede, provided the perfect backdrop for the brand’s latest collection.
Drawing inspiration from vintage militaria, the FW25 range features luxurious fabrics and key silhouettes such as the Marylebone Jean and Dani Jacket. Founder and Creative Director of Studio Nicholson, Nick Wakeman, explains, “The idea of military uniform was front and center for this collection. It was the first season in a while where we studied vintage militaria and reimagined them with a modern twist.”
The collection strikes a balance between functional military styles and softer, more refined pieces. The khaki Caro utility pants are complemented by the Scottish merino Sark sweater and the Inverness V-neck. Leather collars add a touch of sophistication to the Revere trench and Dani Jacket. Wakeman also highlights the use of Japanese wrinkled denim, noisy cotton, and linen viscose for their unique textures.
One standout piece from the collection is the Marylebone Jean, an ultra-high-rise, uber roomy pant available in rinsed indigo and raw black denim. The FW25 campaign, featured in the gallery above, showcases the collection’s versatility and modern aesthetic.
