As we previously reported, this sneaker features wear-away layers that reveal a variety of colors on top of the leather upper. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Self-Expression” is just one of the many new colorways of the iconic AJ1 releasing in celebration of its 40th anniversary. As we speculated earlier, this shoe features a wear-away upper that reveals various colors underneath the black paint. From red and royal blue to magenta and yellow, this element allows for plenty of customization options and perfectly ties into the “Self-Expression” theme. Jordan Brand is pulling out all the stops to celebrate 40 years of the Air Jordan 1, and one of the new colorways to look out for is the “Black/Muslin” version. This shoe, now officially named “Self-Expression”, features a black leather upper with a “Muslin” coating on the midsole. Upon closer inspection, hints of white, red, and blue can be seen at the edges of the upper, hinting at a wear-away finish. The release date has been pushed back to August 9, so mark your calendars and get ready to cop this unique pair for $180 USD.
