Henbo Henning and Dave’s New York: A Dynamic Duo
Henbo Henning and Dave’s New York have been a powerhouse partnership for four years now. They first joined forces in 2021 and then again in 2023, but their connection goes even further back on a personal level. Henning has been a loyal customer of the iconic New York workwear establishment for years. Now, the two are teaming up once again for their third collaborative apparel capsule and a live screenprinting event.
A Visual Language Rooted in New York Folklore
Henning and Dave’s have established a unique visual language in their previous collaborations, centered around iconic animal characters from New York folklore. From the city’s ubiquitous pigeons to the legendary giant gorilla King Kong, these creatures have become synonymous with the brand. In their latest collection, two new graphics featuring these beloved characters have been introduced: “Kong Smash,” where the Dave’s x Henbo gorilla smashes through a wall while sporting the Dave’s storefront as a T-shirt, and “Big D Construction,” which showcases a variety of Henbo’s characters working on Dave’s New York’s vintage “D” logo.
A Screenprinting Workshop at Dave’s New York
To celebrate the release of their latest collection, Henbo will be hosting a screenprinting workshop at Dave’s New York on Saturday, October 19 from 11 AM to 4 PM. The event will take place at Dave’s New York location at 581 6th Ave, NY, NY, 10011. Attendees will have the opportunity to have either of the new graphics printed on any Dave’s New York tee, long sleeve, or hoodie of their choice. But don’t worry if you can’t make it to the event – the collection will also be available online and in-store in four different colors: two shades of blue, black, and white.
