With the departure of long-time Creative Director Francesco Risso, Marni is entering a new era under the leadership of Meryll Rogge. In an official statement, Rogge expressed her excitement and honor to join Marni, a brand that she has long admired for its independent spirit. Rogge, who studied at the Royal Academy of Antwerp, has been making waves in the fashion industry since the launch of her eponymous brand in 2020. Business of Fashion reports that jury member Sidney Toledano commended her for her “new vision of femininity imbued with modernity and wearability.”

According to OTB chairman Renzo Rosso, Meryll Rogge stood out among many highly qualified candidates for the role of Creative Director at Marni. Her sensitivity in reinterpreting the brand’s DNA and her contemporary vision for Marni’s future were key factors in her selection. Rosso also noted that Marni continues to attract and inspire creatives from all over the world.
