Daiki Suzuki’s Engineered Garments Takes on Colorado with Canoe Club Collaboration
Daiki Suzuki, the mastermind behind Engineered Garments, is taking his New York-based brand to the mountains of Colorado for a second collaboration with Boulder’s own Canoe Club boutique. The two previously joined forces last November to create two versatile workwear pieces, the Club Coat and Fatigue Pants. Now, they’re back at it again with a new outdoor-inspired collection featuring four unique styles.
Colorado Wilderness Meets ’70s Outdoor Fashion
For their latest capsule, Canoe Club looked to the local Colorado wilderness for inspiration and drew from the outdoor clothing trends of the 1970s. The result is a range of pieces that perfectly balance functionality and style. The standout piece, the Canoe Parka, is a modern take on the classic 60/40 poly/cotton blend, now in a 65/35 form for improved water resistance. It also features expanded front pockets with hidden side entry and raglan arms for added functionality. The parka comes in two colorways, a bright blue “Sky” and a soft brown “Dune,” and is complemented by the matching Canoe Cap, which also boasts co-branding and water-resistant construction.
Co-Branded Pieces and Versatile Options
The collaboration also includes the Canoe Cross Crew Tee, which features the same black co-branding on a white tee, and the Canoe FA Pant, a modified version of Engineered Garments’ popular FA Pant with a versatile pocket system designed to pair perfectly with the shorter length of the parka. The pant comes in two color options, a beige “Cloud” and an olive “Ivy,” and is made from a soft, washed cotton fabric.
