Drake’s “OG” Campaign: A Family Affair
In the world of hip hop, loyalty and family are everything. And no one knows this better than Drake. The Canadian rapper has always been about taking care of his own, and his latest campaign, appropriately titled “OG,” is a testament to that.
Returning with his OVO family, Drake’s new collection is a nod to all the talk and drama that surrounded him this past summer. And just recently, he made a surprise appearance at a Toronto club, taking the mic to talk about his “real friends.”
In a passionate rant about fake friends, Drake declared, “My real friends are definitely in the building. But let me tell you, you’re going to come to a point in life where people you thought were friends, people you thought were close to you, switch up.” He continued to call out these fake friends, warning that they may try to “move funny” or even stab you in the back.
But for Drake, it’s all about staying true to his inner circle. Despite the ongoing beef with other artists like Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, and even fellow Canadian The Weeknd, the 6God is standing strong with his OGs by his side.
The upcoming OG OVO collection is a tribute to Drake’s loyalty to his own. The campaign features his OVO inner circle, including Jonny Roxx and Niko Carino, wearing the classic OVO owl moniker hoodie in black. They pose together behind The Boy before appearing in their own individual shots, showcasing other pieces from the collection such as an OVO letterman jacket and sweaters.
For Drake, family is everything. And on October 11, fans can show their support by snagging pieces from the OVO OG Collection online. Because when it comes to Drake, it’s all about family and taking care of his own.
Are you ready for the drop?
