42 Years Later: The Nike Air Force 1 Still Reigns Supreme
It’s been over four decades since Nike first introduced the iconic Air Force 1, and yet the sneaker remains one of the brand’s most popular lifestyle silhouettes. With a rich history and countless colorways and collaborations, the Air Force 1 has solidified its place as a staple in the sneaker world. And according to a new report from Sneaker Files, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
A Skate-Inspired Twist on a Classic
Rumors are swirling about a new version of the Air Force 1 set to release in 2025. Dubbed the Air Force 1 SK8, this skate-oriented sneaker is said to feature design elements that cater to active use. However, it’s important to note that this release will not be a part of Nike’s SB line.
What to Expect
According to the report, the Air Force 1 SK8 will boast a padded tongue, larger laces, and a colored outsole for added durability. The toe and heel will also feature a nubuck overlay, ensuring that these kicks can withstand the wear and tear of skateboarding. As for colorways, fans can look forward to “Stadium Green,” “Psychic Blue,” and a classic “White/Black” option.
Release Details
While Nike has yet to officially announce the Air Force 1 SK8, it’s expected to drop next summer on Nike SNKRS and at select retailers. The adult sizes will retail for $120 USD, while grade school sizes will be priced at $100 USD. Keep an eye out for updates and a first look at this highly anticipated release.
