Bode’s Spring 2026 Collection: A Tribute to the Legendary Composer Morris “Moose” Charlap

Paris Fashion Week was taken by storm as Bode unveiled its highly anticipated Spring 2026 collection, titled “The Expressionist.” This collection is a heartfelt tribute to the great American composer Morris “Moose” Charlap, best known for his score to Broadway’s Peter Pan.

The collection was showcased in a unique and intimate setting at a Paris theater, where guests were greeted with a one-of-a-kind show format. Miniature puppets, dressed in Bode’s latest designs, were lined up to give audiences an up-close look at the collection’s intricate details.

Emily Adams Bode Aujla, the designer behind the brand, shared personal anecdotes about her inspiration for the collection, tying it deeply to Charlap’s legacy and family memories. Charlap’s son, Bill Charlap, a two-time Grammy nominated musician and renowned jazz pianist, also joined the event to honor his father.

The theater was transformed into four mini modules, each representing a significant stage in Moose Charlap’s life. One module depicted Central Park, a place where he spent a lot of time with his wife before and after Broadway shows. Another module was set in his boyhood camp, where he received the nickname “Moose.”

Unlike a typical Paris Fashion Week show, Bode Aujla presented the collection by sharing her inspiration and the meaning behind each piece. Bill Charlap also performed three songs in honor of his father, adding a personal touch to the event.

The collection, aptly named “The Expressionist,” is a visual songbook of a life in music. Bode brings to life Moose Charlap’s vibrant world, inspired by music, and gives it a visual representation through fashion. This collection is a true testament to the enduring legacy of Morris “Moose” Charlap and his contribution to the world of music.
