Stüssy Takes Over NYC: New Flagship Store Coming to Nolita
According to Business of Fashion, Stüssy is gearing up to open a permanent flagship store in New York City’s trendy Nolita neighborhood. After the success of its pop-up archive store in May, the iconic SoCal streetwear brand is set to take over a 5,600 square-foot retail space at 50 Prince Street, previously occupied by McNally Jackson bookstore.
The brand’s former flagship store in SoHo closed at the end of last year, making way for Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears storefront. Stüssy’s new location will be in the company of other streetwear giants like Aimé Leon Dore, Kith, and Noah. This will be the brand’s third store opening this year, following the launch of flagships in Chengdu and Milan.
Stüssy, founded in 1984, first made its mark in New York City in 1991 with its inaugural store. The 40-year-old brand has yet to announce an official opening date for its newest Manhattan location, but stay tuned to Hypebeast for updates on the highly-anticipated flagship.
