Coperni Takes Fashion to New Heights with 3D Printed Disney-Inspired Bag

Disneyland Paris may be known for its magical rides and attractions, but this year, it’s also making waves in the fashion world. French brand Coperni recently announced that its SS25 presentation would be held at the iconic theme park, causing a stir among fashion enthusiasts. But it’s not just the location that has people talking – it’s the innovative and futuristic designs that Coperni has become known for.

One of the standout pieces from the collection is the Disney-blue 3D printed Swipe Bag. This collaboration between Coperni and Disney, with the help of MIT-affiliated lab Rapid Liquid Print (RLP), takes the already sleek and stylish Swipe Bag to a whole new level. By using RLP’s unique technique, the bag is created from a gel suspension, free from the constraints of gravity. This allows for the production of flexible rubber, foam, and plastic products in a matter of minutes.

Coperni has been making headlines for its bold and daring approach to advanced manufacturing processes. In its SS23 presentation, model Bella Hadid was the canvas for a spray-on dress made with Fabrican, a sprayable liquid fiber. This is just one example of how 3D printing has evolved since its early days in the 21st century.

But it’s not just the fashion industry that is embracing 3D printing. Companies like Austin-based ICON are using this technology to print homes directly onto empty properties at a rapid pace. And just last week, A$AP Rocky and PUMA launched the Mostro, a 3D printed shoe with a perforated resin exterior.

As 3D printing continues to advance, the possibilities are endless. Who knows what other innovative ideas and collaborations we’ll see from brands in the future.
